Happy Halloween! Are you handing out candy or other goodies? Wouldn’t it be great if your Trick or Treaters brought you cash this Halloween? Well they can.

Here is how (Below):

♦ Find the URL that you want drive traffic to going into Christmas and the holidays.

♦ Get on your computer and create a small business card size document and add the URL. Now print out enough copies to to give each of your Trick or Treaters. Now just toss the card in their bags along with your treats.

♦ Another traffic magnet is to take photos of all the Tricksters and tell them they can download the photo from the website on the card. Before you upload the photo, put your URL as a ‘bug’ on each photo. You can do that with any photo editing software including Picasa 3, which is free from Google.

♦ Make a video of all your ghost and goblins and post it to your YouTube channel.

The cost for creating this lead-in is cheaper than Adwords and will have the kids as your best salesmen. You can go one step further and have the parents opt-in to your mailing list, follow you on Twitter and fan your Facebook page.

We all want to make money online, and we want a guide to Google AdWords to help them do it. In this article, you’ll learn some tip and tricks to help you start making more money faster (isn’t that what you want?) There is a lot of information out there, and a lot of people who claim to have the definitive guide to Google Adwords. What I have to offer aren’t tricks or strategies to fool Google into thinking one thing while you’re doing another. It’s just good, sound advice gathered after years of running a business online.

The very first advice you should get in any guide to Google AdWords is that you should read, read, and read some more. Google has compiled an amazing amount of information, and it’s all free for your disposal. And best of all, all the information is free, so your first stop when you want to get started in PPC advertising is to check out Google’s own guide to Google AdWords – I’m pretty sure they’re the experts on that.

Once you’ve done all the free research you can, and you feel like you’ve got a pretty good grasp of the basic of how AdWords works, and what you want to get done, then it’s time to start thinking seriously about your own campaigns. There are many tools out on the market that claim to help you run your AdWords campaign, but what you should be looking for in your guide to Google AdWords is something that will not only give you the information and the strategies that you need, but will also give you the support you will need if you run into problems. Another crucial thing is that your guide to Google AdWords needs to be updated on a regular basis – Google is always changing the way they do things, and if you’re going to invest money in training and support, you want it to be worth it.

The last advice I have to give in this mini guide to Google AdWords is that you need to write good ads. All the traffic and targeting secrets and tips in the world won’t help you if your ads are bad. Think about the action you want to user to take, and go from there. Also think about what your landing page promises, and make sure that it is echoed in your PPC ad. You could be using the best guide to Google AdWords in the world, but if your ad isn’t good, your traffic won’t convert and you won’t make any money.

If you want to find success in PPC advertising, then you need to know the right AdWords/Google management techniques. While it’s tempting to dive right in and get going, if you start using AdWords without knowing what you are doing, you will be throwing money away and not seeing any return for it. Most people who are just starting out with AdWords/Google management don’t realize how fast you can run through your weekly, monthly, or even yearly budget if you don’t know what you‘re doing. If you want to get the most bang for your buck, make sure to follow these simple techniques.

Are you one of those guys that never reads the manual when you put something, be it a toy or a BBQ or a dresser? Then this advice is especially for you. The first, and possibly the most important AdWord/Google management technique that you can learn is to read the manual before you try to put the machine together (the machine, in this case, being your AdWords campaign.) Google offers a vast amount of information about how AdWords works, and if you want to be successful, then you need to know the ins and outs before you start running your campaigns.

The second AdWords/Google management technique that I’m going to share with you is to run separate campaigns for all of your different products/services. A lot of people, when they are starting out with AdWords, will try to put all of their different campaigns together in one big campaign. Don’t do this. In order to give each of your campaigns the attention that they deserve, you need to put them into separate campaigns. That way, you can manage them better, pay more attention to which keywords are performing and which aren’t, and keep a better eye on your cost per clicks.

The third and last AdWords/Google management technique I’m going to share with you today is to keep your eye on your conversion rates. It’s not just clicks that count. You could have an ad that’s getting you great cost per clicks, but it’s not resulting in any sales for you on your site, which means it’s a waste of money. But an ad with a lower click-through rate, that costs a littlem more, but that results in more sales once they reach your site, is much more valuable to you.

Remember to keep your goals in mind – your ultimate goal is to get sales.

It wasn’t so long ago that it was devastatingly easy to make money on AdWords. You didn’t even need to know that much about PPC advertising. You could get ads for pennies, and you just needed to have a little bit of funds to get you started, and then you could sit back and watch your income increase as you make money on Adwords.

But, like any easy and simple way to make money, especially when you don’t have to put up a lot of money to get started, soon everybody was getting in the game, wanting to make money on AdWords. The more people there were, the harder it became to make easy money with AdWords. The increased competition drove up the prices on the AdWords ads, and what was previously cost pennies now cost dollars.

People who didn’t pay attention to their PPC advertising campaigns very closely started losing money. This came as a shock to many, who had come to depend on getting to make money on AdWords. Many people who had made a lot of money gave up, saying that it was now impossible to make the kind of profits that they used to when they used to make money on AdWords.

And those people were right about one thing: it certainly wasn’t as easy anymore to make money on AdWords. But it wasn’t impossible. You just need to work smart, not hard. You can’t just throw some money at it and walk away and expect to make money on AdWords. But if you know what you’re doing, it is still very much a reality that you can be profitable with AdWords, no matter what your budget.

What you need to do today to make money on AdWords is simple: you need to research your keywords and choose them carefully, and you need to put some time and effort into your AdWords ad and landing page.

By choosing the right keywords, you can make sure that you don’t have too much competition that will drive the price of the ad up, while still picking keywords that have enough interest and searched to drive enough people to your site. It just takes a little more thought and effort to make money on AdWords than it used to.

By taking time and care with your AdWords ad, and then making sure that you follow up with what you promised in your ad on your landing page, you will find it easier to make money on AdWords. There are so many AdWords ads out there that don’t do this that you will stand out from the crowd as a higher quality ad; the higher the perceived quality of your ads and your landing pages, the easier it will be for you to convert into a sale and make money on AdWords.

PPC advertising can be intimidating and confusing for people just starting out. By using this simple AdWords Google Guide, you’ll have the tips and tricks to make sure that you’re starting out in the right direction. Make sure to pay attention – a poorly managed AdWords campaign can end up costing you a lot of money – and fast. You could blow your startup budget in a week, and your foray into making money online could be over before you even really got started.

The first tip in our AdWords Google Guide is to make sure you know what you want before you start. This means having clearly defined goals and aims. What do you want to get out of this campaign? Do you want to get sales, or do you just want to build an email list? If you know what you want before you start your campaign, you’ll have an easier time focusing and staying on track.

The second tip in our AdWords Google Guide is to choose your keywords carefully. Your keywords are what will get your ads in front of your target audience. Choose the wrong keywords, and you’ll be advertising to the wrong audience, and you won’t get the response that you are looking for (and you know exactly what that is because of your extremely well-defined goals.)

There are many different factors which define whether a keyword it right for you or not; you have to take into consideration the volume of searches and the advertising competition on any given keyword, which will then affect the starting price. You also need to make sure that they keywords you choose have something to do with your product or service – when people use search engines, they are looking for information on something specific, and one of the best tips I can give you in this AdWords Google Guide is to make sure that you are relevant to that.

Which leads us into our next AdWords Google Guide tip – make sure that whatever offer you used in your AdWords ad is prominently displayed on your landing page when the prospect clicks through. The number one cause of abandonment in PPC marketing is because the user didn’t think that the site followed through on what was promised in the ad.

Advertising with Google Adwords is a great way to reach the most targeted and relevant audience. By using the tools that Google Analytics offers to help make the most out of geo-targeted keywords, you can maximize the results and conversions that your AdWords campaign can bring.

For many businesses relevance varies by region. You wouldn’t want people in Florida seeing your ads for snow removal. Another example is while you would target patio furniture to the entire country in the summer, in the fall you’d only want to target the Southern states that don’t get snow. Using Google Analytics to help plan our geo-targeted keyword campaign can dramatically increase your conversion rate.

Geo-Targeting Your Keywords

It can seem difficult to decide which areas to use geo-targeted keywords with. Google Analytics can help you expand your business and increase visibility by helping you decide what markets to enter. There may be potential markets that you haven’t even thought of targeting. You could be losing revenue and not even knowing it.

You can use the Map Overlay Report to see exactly where your traffic from your general search campaigns has been coming from. Click on the ‘Goal Conversion’ tab to see which regions have had the best conversion rate. This lets you see, out of the areas that have the highest traffic, which regions had the highest conversion rate.

Finding Steady Traffic Flow to Conversion by Regions

If you find a location that has had steady traffic and a high conversion rate, this is an opportunity for you to increase your sales even further. Set up a separate campaign for any regions that have been identified; for each of them, be sure to use geo-targeted keywords that will appeal to the consumers in these identified regions even more.

Once you’ve decided which regions you want to run specialized campaigns in, log into your Adwords account. To choose your campaign geographically, edit the campaign settings by going to the ‘target audience’ section, and choose the geographic region that you want to target. There are several ways you can do this: by state, country, zip code or city. Play around with it a bit until you’re satisfied with the region you’ve chosen.

It’s that easy! Now that you know where the ads will be running, make sure to write ads using geo-targeted keywords to draw them in even more. You’ll be up and running with a geo-targeted campaign with regionally targeted ads in no time. This will get you even better results for your Google AdWords campaign.

Simplify Your Adwords Campaign

Another way to maximize the results from your AdWords campaign is top use PPCKahuna. Go to PPCKahuna and see how their tools and resources can dramatically improve your AdWords campaign results.

Click Sir Tweet O' Lot to tweet this story.

Google’s AdWords network has become one of the biggest online PPC ad networks. Millions of users everyday around the world are exposed to ads from Google. How many of those are your ads, and how many out of those millions are seeing them?

You’re probably already running a search campaign, but are you on the content network? If you aren’t, well, why not? You’re missing out on the opportunity to exponentially expand your reach to customers around the world that you aren’t getting to by using search. Using Google Analytics to help you refine your Google site placement within the content network can maximize your results from a content campaign.

There are thousands and thousands of sites to choose from on the content network, but you can choose the sites where you want your ads to appear. It can be overwhelming when you’re first trying to figure out what your campaign will be. There are several ways you can run your content campaign in order to optimize the result you get.

How To Choose The Right Sites

But how do you choose which sites to advertise on? Google Analytics has a great tool to help you figure out just that. It’s the Google Placement Tool, and it’s a great way to get an ultra-targeted campaign.

Using the referring sites report in Google Analytics, you can see all of the sites that sent visitors to your site. These are usually people who are writing about your site, such as press, articles, blogs, forums, or other online publications. A lot of these referring sites are part of the Google content network, and you’re able to run advertisements on them.

So why not run your content network ads on these sites? They’ve already proven to have an audience interested in your product or service. This is a super-easy way to get access to a highly targeted audience without any extra cost.

To do this, you will have to use Google’s Placement Tool. You start by importing the list of referring sites into your AdWords campaign, and then export the referring sites list into a .csv. Next, you copy the list of sites, and then paste it into a placement targeted campaign that you’ve already set up in AdWords.

That’s all you need to do to start running a highly-targeted campaign on sites that are already talking about you. Since it only takes about 5 minutes to do, what reason could you have for not trying it out?

Maximize Your Next Campaign For Free

Another way to maximize your content network campaign is by using AdWords Digger, It searches and ranks sites based on your criteria, from which you can then pick and choose and import into your AdWords placement targeting list. It’s also completely free.

So, you’re getting good click-through rates on your PPC advertising campaign. So why isn’t your conversion rate going up as well? You might be making one of the top 5 landing page mistakes:

1) Using Your Home Page as the Landing Page

This is the biggest (and most common) mistake you can make with PPC campaigns – you must always have a customized landing page for each keyword that you run ads on. You’ve gotten people to click using the right keywords; they now expect to find information about what they were searching on.

If you don’t have a landing page customized to those search terms, they’ll click the ‘back’ button and be on to one of your competitor’s sites.

2) Having a Confusing/Too Busy Landing Page

If your landing page is not clear and concise, leading the user to exactly the information that they’re looking for, you will lose sales. People don’t have much patience to try and figure out where the information they want is.

You may want to put as much information about your product/service on the landing page as possible, but remember that clarity is key. Your potential customer should be able to find all the information they need about your product in 30 seconds. You can definitely have more information available, but they should be able to pick out key points immediately.

3) Your Landing Page Takes Too Long to Load

Images are always a great way to improve the look and layout of your landing page. Go overboard, however, and you’ll lose customers before they even get to your site. This is because putting too many images on your landing page will result in your site taking an extremely long time to load. People will get sick of waiting, click that dreaded ‘back’ button again, and move on the to next search result.

Instead, focus on the quality, not the quantity of images. Hand select a few that will really improve the look of your site. Also, keep the size of the image in mind as well. You don’t need to use a high resolution picture if it’s meant to only be seen online. You can save the picture as at a lower resolution and speed up the loading time of your landing page that much more.

4) Scaring Away Your Customers

Asking your potential customers to provide private information before telling them anything about your product/service will only result in scaring them away. Remember, people don’t like to give out their private information to people they don’t know. Build trust with them first, and if you must ask for private information right away, limit it to a first name and an email address. Then, you still get a way to send them more information, and they get to retain some anonymity.

5) You’re spending all your time selling

Don’t misunderstand this; your goal is to ultimately sell your product or service. But you must understand that people don’t respond to the hard sell. They go to the internet for information, so give it to them. Save the sales pitch for your PPC ad; once they’ve clicked on it, they’ve already expressed interest in the product.

Once they get to the landing page, you then need to provide them with the information they need to feel like they’ve been educated on the product/service, and now can make an informed decision. This will also build their trust in your site, since you’re not trying to give them an obvious sales pitch; you’re merely presenting the information and letting them make their own decision.

In these tough economic times, it’s getting harder and harder to make a profit in the bricks-and-mortar business world. That’s why, right now, your best bet to start making extra money is to start looking at online business. But how do you start making money online?

First of all, tell yourself you can do it. It may seem silly, but you need to believe that this can work. If you set out with the expectation of failure, surprise, you’ll fail. But don’t worry, you don’t have to do this on your own. There are many tools and resources out there to help you.

It’s Easier Than You Think

Making money online isn’t hard to do, you just need to know what you’re doing. A tried and proved system is your best bet; once you know what steps to follow, the system will start to do the work for you. The caveat is that you need to make sure that you’ve picked the right system. Lucky for you, I know of a great system…but more on that later.

The Real Way to Make Money Online

The number one thing to remember when trying to make money online is to start with a category you’re genuinely interested in. You can’t fake enthusiasm, no matter how hard you try. There are millions of different products and services that you can make money online with, you just need to pick one that you find appealing.

It could be a hobby or something you’ve always wanted to know about; if you’re planning on making money during a recession, you need to pick a subject and stick with it.

The next stage in the plan to make money online (especially during a recession) is to make sure that there is a decent market attached to the product or service that you want to promote. Don’t worry, it’s not hard to figure out; a few good Google searches should give you a pretty good picture of what’s going on.

Once you’ve found a product or service you like, and you think there’s a viable market for it, start to do some more in-depth research. See what people in your niche are buying, and what they’re willing to buy, and for how much. Now you’re ready to start to make money online.

Get Yourself a Recession-Proof Method

OK, you’ve got your product/service, you know there’s a market for it, and you have a good idea of what people in that niche want and/or are willing to pay for. Now you need to start applying a system to your research in order to start making money. Again, this is where your choice of system is very important. Many people make the wrong choice and fail to make money online.

The guide or system you pick must be able to give you the resources and support that you need to <a href="http://www.portalfeeder.com/index.php/113260/" target="_blank" rel"nofollow">maximize your earning potential. It can also save you a lot of time, and get your new online business in the black sooner. With this recession we’re dealing with, that’s a statement not many businesses can make.

That’s about it, now you’re set to start making money online, even during this recession…oh, wait, you want to know what system I think you should use.

I’ve looked around and researched pretty much all of the “make money online” offerings, and I’ve come to a conclusion. There is one product that stands head and shoulders above the rest, that actually gives you the tools, resources, and support that you need to start making money online within 30 days.

So what is that product? You’ll have to go to Portalfeeder to find out.

But only go if you’re serious about making money online!

Google AdWords is an extremely popular ad serving platform used in PPC advertising campaigns. While most people understand the basics of AdWords, from picking keywords and creating ads, what most people don’t know is that their AdWords campaigns are manually reviewed by editors at Google, and they will assign you a penalty or shut you down altogether if they think that you’re violating one of their policies. Here’s what to avoid if you want to keep your site up and running:

Using Inappropriate or Offensive Language

This should seem like an obvious one, but you’d be surprised at the number of people who try to use inappropriate or offensive language as a kind of shock tactic to get clicks. It may work in the (very) short-term, but then your ads get taken down, and if you managed to be really offensive, your site will get shut down as well.

And don’t assume that you can get away by using double entendres or by thinking that you’re being really clever. While the Google algorithms may not recognize it, you can bet that the editors will.

Using Copyrighted or Trademarked Terms

Google has strict guidelines in place in regards to trademarks and copyrights, and you’ll get a warning at the ad creation level if you try to create an ad that contains one. They are really strict with this rule, as they, as well as you, are the ones who will be listed in the lawsuit should someone decide to sue for copyright infringement.

Having Misleading Offers, Special Prices, or Discounts

You’re allowed to mention pricing, special offers, or discounts in your Google Adwords ad, but the claim made in the ad must be backed up on the landing page. Any use of misleading offers that the user can’t actually claim will get your ad flagged.

Redirecting the User to A Different URL

Google expects to see, when someone clicks on your ad, that the user is taken directly to the site with the same URL as the one you displayed in your ad. In the past, advertisers had taken advantage of this to redirect users to a completely different URL than the one posted in the ad. Google has cracked down on this and will not tolerate it.

Using Superlatives or Competitive Claims Without Backup

You can claim that you’re the best in the world, or that you’re better than one of you competitors….but you’d better have the proof to back it up once people get to your landing page. And considering how hard it is to proof that you’re rated #1 or are the best at something, it’s usually best to err on the side of caution and avoid using superlatives of competitive claims in your AdWords ads.
