TLMC Part II – Assessment

The is the second installment of The Lunch Money Challenge (TLMC)
So by now you should have had time to wonder how it was possible for me to earn money just using social media. Also you’ve had time to sign-up for the Pepperjam Network and get accustomed to the company. Now you’re chomping at the bit wanting to find how you can get started in this exercise of social monetization, so here we’ll start out on the first leg the journey.
The reason social media and social networks are so popular is because it easy for millions of people to connect, communicate, share information and bond with like minded people. Chances are you already belong one or more social media services like Myspace or Facebook. You haven’t made a dime of it or even thought you could. If all you’ve done is upload some random photos, found an old classmate or watched a video and haven’t moved any further into the social experience you won’t. All those activities are fine and great way to relax.
If you have dug deeper into these services you’ll find hobbies, career, civic and educational sections. Perhaps you’ve even joined those groups or at least read through some of the discussions. What you will notice is that there are a lot people in those sections who follow that interest track closely. They are there to expand their base of knowledge and want to pick others brains on the topic. Everyone has one or two subjects they want to know everything about and become immersed in. Like wise everyone feels that they are an expert on some level on a topic or two and they want to share this information. A couple of mine are Internet marketing, photojournalism, and law enforcement (odd mix).
Now heres your first assignment to get started with. Over the next 48 hours make a note of anything you have a strong interest in and a large basis of knowledge on. Some topics will be related to your profession, hobbies, family and community. These topics don’t have to come from things you’ve found on the Internet. You’ll do better if they are thing that are easily found on the Internet. Commit those topics to writing, nothing long just the topic so you come back to them. For you to succeed in this you really need to take the next 48 hours and record what you do over that time. It may sound a little over the top, but as we move forward you’ll see why this is one of the most critical steps you’ll take to reach you income goals.
When we pick this back up you should have a list that contains at least three things you could carry a conversation about without feeling outside your comfort zone doing. You can subscribe to the RSS of this site and follow it on Twitter @tweetforbucks to get to the minute updates.
Just in case you haven’t joined Pepperjam Network, I’ve put the link below for you to register and get a $10 sign on bonus. There is no fees or charges for becoming a partner. You’ll be using this service later, so it’s best to join now before sign on bonus offer expires.
